Guest guest
Hi All! My son has been on Acyclovir since February. Initially, we saw slow, but steady progress. Right now, my son does not seem to be progressing any further with the antiviral. Would this indicate that it is time to stop or to switch to another antiviral to see if we start seeing gains again? We first started out on Valtrex (we saw almost immediate gains there) but we had to switch since my son was not being good about taking his medicine. Believe me, we tried everything to try to get it down him. I wouldn't mind revisiting Valtrex, but my son flatly refuses to learn how to take a pill. We have tried M & M's, we have tried Smarties etc. etc. He just won't take anything that we offer him. We have the Oralflo cup, he won't touch it. I am at a loss. We had been giving him his Acyclovir in suppository form, but he is starting to get too big to do this. Any suggestions? Thanks,
