Guest guest
Look up Chemet in the Physician's Desk Reference (PDR - your library probably has one behind the reference counter), copy the pages, and send it to them. DMSA is FDA approved for lead intoxication in small children. They are just being part of the " witch hunt " against alternative medicine - they cover the 80% of all Rx's which are for non-FDA approved uses of other drugs. They just don't want to cover anything that might help with conditions the AMA declares nonexistent. Guest guest
resubmit it...call them if you need to. If it was RX'd it should be covered. I truly believe all insurance people go to a special training, before they're hired called " 101 ways to deny claims " 1. They get the social # wrong. 2. They tell you you need to submit to your primary coverage plan first(even if you don't have one). 3. This is a previously reviewed claim. 4. The code is not covered(on this one you need to deal with the doctor's office, sometimes they make a mistake) the list really goes on and on so I don't need to. Believe me I've been through many more. Hopefully you'll get discourage and pay the bill. Most people do. Sometimes it takes me a year or so to recover expenses but I keep all the files and I'm persistent(usually call the representative)it's a PITA. DMSA was covered for me [ ] DMSA (FDA approval?) I submitted to our insurance and received a rejection stating that " This druf has no FDA approved indications and is not covered by BCBSM " . I was wondering if anyone could verify that for me or give me some guidance as to a website to find the answer to that (whether it has any approved indications). Thanks Tali
