Guest guest
Hi Alisha, welcome! I'm a single mom, 3 sons practically grown. My OCD son is now 19, his OCD began back in 6th grade. His OCD now isn't the same as when it began. Presently it's similar to when your son feared going to hell; my son has bad thoughts toward God/religion but is actually religious himself so it does create a problem! You did give good background on your son, but was wondering if anyone ever wondered about autism? if he had any similar traits to that spectrum diagnosis. I'm glad he's in that program and that he's getting in-home therapy. The intensive in-home can really be effective! Keep us updated on how that is going and the upcoming appt. Was looking around on the internet and found this article below; interesting in that it gives some obsession examples. http://www.tourette-syndrome.com/ocd-autism.htm > > I guess i should start by introducing myself. My name is Alisha and i have 5 kids.I am OCD bipolar DID PTSD and anxiety panic attacks. so i sorta know where my son Cody who is 10 inherited his bipolar and OCD. OCD reared its ugly head the most noticible when my son was in first grade when he was 6. he became a compulsive hand washer till the skin was raw and gone from his hands and they were big sores.then he moved on to touch nothing without special rubber gloves.also at
