Guest guest
A newer story has said that Federline feared the Brittany was going to hurt or kill her kids and that she attacked the people who were taking them away. Also read that she had been banging her head against the wall now and then for the last week or so and none of her "minders" tried to stop her, not even after one of her kids started imitating her. What's so bad about all this is that she is still seen by many as a sympathetic figure. That means this loon is still going to have support out there and in the media. As awful as it sounds, it is almost too bad she didn't try to hurt the kids or so some minor injury to them because that would have wiped out the sympathy for her. It is also disgusting that the media is still pimping her story when it should have been forgotten long ago. With all of the important things going on, stories about Brittany, missing hikers and all that rest eat up air time that could be being used to cover in detail important stories. Guest guest
" Also read that she had been banging her head against the wall now and then for the last week or so and none of her " minders " tried to stop her, not even after one of her kids started imitating her. " This behavior sounds autistic, which would go a long way towards explaining all of her behavior and the way the media has such a feeding frenzy with it. However, we have no proof as yet that she is of the autistic persuasion. " It is also disgusting that the media is still pimping her story when it should have been forgotten long ago. " As you and others here know, Raven and I have been in many newspapers and on TV a few times. More times than we have posted in fact. What I have come to understand about the media is that they wield considerable power. They can work for you an against you. They like it whn you call them up with a scoop, and in exchange, they will sometimes afford you with more attention than you would otherwise deserve. Other times, they have a preconceived notion of what they want to publish. An " angle. " And so they will ask questions to lead you in the direction they want to steer you two and ignore contrary, differning, or tangential views. I believe the motivation for this behavior is the drive to publish a story that sells, coupled with a reporter's own drive to excel within the competitive news organizations to which they belong. People like Spears are a windfall to them, especially if the behavior of Spears is already outlandish enough that embellishment isn't even necessary. The media, whether we all know it or not, has tarnished the reputations of a lot of people and most of the time we do not even know about it. I just got done reading " To the Stars " by Takei. In it, he talks about the Star Trek epidsode called " The Naked Time " in which Sulu was supposed to go around the enterprise with a sword. Takei had been taking fencing lessons and had been practicing behind the set for one of his scenes when Doohan, who plays Mr. Scot walked around the corner to find out what all the grunts that come from practicing were about. He nearly got his nose severed. So Doohan jokingly went around the set saying Takei nearly cut him to shreds. Somehow the media got hold of this and wrote it up to make it sound like Takei was running around the set swishing his sword at people. Another false rumor was that Leonard Nimoy had it in his contract that Spock was to die at the end of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn. Even some of the staff had believed this rumor, including some of the executives at Paramount, who were unwilling at first to let Spock direct the third movie due to their believing Nimoy did not like his character. In reality, there was nothing about the death of Spock in his contract, and Nimoy's only concern for Star Trek II was that Spock not die in the beginning of the film. But the media wanted to make it out otherwise. Nimoy was nearly excluded from future Star Trek films after Star Trek II due to this false rumor circulating. Finally, there was a fire at one of the Paramount backlots and an exec rushed in, called Shatner off the set for a while. Takei went to investigate and saw Shatner holding a fire hose, well away from the fire, but pretending to put out the fire anyway. Reporters were taking pictures. The media then published an article stating that Shatner single-handedly saved the entire studio from burning down even though Takei could see that the fire-fighters had kept Shatner well back from the fire - with the fire out of reach of his hose - for his own protection. This is the way the media works. Tom Administrator
