Guest guest
Autism doesn't have anything to do with this. She had taken more than 100 pills in couple of days, lots of stuff. She's just plain burning out and hard. In a message dated 1/7/2008 3:24:14 P.M. However, we have no proof as yet that she is of the autistic persuasion. Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year. Guest guest
I'm inclined to agree with you. Raven has an idea that this is what comes of parents who try to shove their kids into the entertainment industry. You wind up roping them off from reality so that when reality hits, you wind up going borderline insane. I maintain, however, that at some point a person needs to begin to take responsibility for themselves and their behavior. Perhsp Ms. Spears was never mentally capable of that, but I am inclined to think that if she ever got proper psychological attention she might wind up reaching some kind of equillibrium. " In Britney's case, she was singing in competition on Star Search when she was 5 years old. She already was a seasoned pro on stage and that doesn't happen overnight. She sang with the voice more in keeping with a young adult than a 5 year old child and she worked the audience with an adeptness that is rarely seen in childre but almost always found in adults with a few years experience under their belts. She was groomed to perform on stage which means that she was trained by her parents to be an entertainer from toddlerhood onwards. She had no normal childhood to speak of and did not have a chance to interact appropriately with other children. In other words, her parents did not mentor and mirror appropriate parenting so it is no wonder that she does not know what appropriate parenting looks like. This is no excuse but rather an explanation of what happens in these sorts of situations. Furthermore, if you take into account what the paparazzi were doing as Britney was being taken away by ambulance to the hospital ER, you have a better understanding of what it must be like to live in a fishbowl. Nothing is private in her life and so she has stopped trying to make anything private. She does not know how to protect herself because her parents never protected her when she was a child growing up. She has never known anything but how to be a money making entertainment machine for her parents' bank accounts and, once she was age of majority, her own bank account. She has a number of people on her payroll that all expect her to provide for them by way of a paycheque and many of those people would sell her out in an instant if there was a way to make a few extra thousands from the rag magazines that clamour for dirt on celebrities to follow. She has no true friends and she is always on the look out for the most dangerous of her hired betrayers in her camp. With all that stress and pressure and minimal life skills, is it any wonder that celebrities like Britney crack under the pressure? It isn't autism that is doing her in -- it is insanity caused by her current and former environments. wrote: " ... <snip> ... " How does she accomplish this when she does not know who to trust? Her own mother has betrayed her to the media on more than one occasion. And Lynn Spears has done this so she can secure her own deals like the book -- currently on hold with the publisher -- on how good a mom she is for having raised a 26 year old who is coming apart at the seams and a 16 year old who is 6 months pregnant. wrote: " ... <snip> ... " I think she would benefit greatly from appropriate psychological help and a very long break away from toxic people and toxic situations that continue to unbalance her life. Perhaps she should sit down and talk with Shirley Temple Black whose mother allowed her to leave Hollywood and its trappings when Shirley no longer wanted to be a Hollywood celebrity. She went on to a rewarding life as an ambassador among other career choices. It's not often that we hear of child stars growing into balanced adults but when we do, it's almost always because of the parenting they had as well as leaving celebrity behind them when it no longer interested them. Guest guest
Kids stars have a long history of being abused and messed up. Even back in the day of Shirley Temple and the others, the producers would hop the kids up on drugs to make them work and work even though it often burned them out. Television stars and such also had bad problems with this too, with many of them hopped up on drugs and later having legal problems. Many other are used as cash cows and wish fulfillments of the parents, making the kids live the lives the parents wanted for themselves. The kids do all the work and get messed up and the parents spend all the money. Actors, models, athletes, its happened to them all. Britany is just another example of this. I think that there is another angle to this as well. So many stars have lots of friends, get to the parties and all of that, as long as they have money. Look at how fast people dropped Micheal or MC Hammer, or any of the retired athletes. Its all the same. Once the money and prestige is gone, so are the friends. I think right now, Brittany was allowed to get this bad because it is her current state that keeps her in the news. Keeping her in the news brings attention and money. So, the longer they can drag this out, the longer they can leech off of her. And since helping her clean up and get help would be counter productive to them, they aren't going to do it. " Funny thing is that MC Hammer has, in the past 15 years, recreated himself and this time he's a heavy hitter in the digital world with his new projects none of which are music related. He was reported to have said in a recent interview about his Silicon Valley venture that he began hanging out in Silicon Valley at the very beginning of his rap career because he had a feeling that once he wasn't cranking out hits any more, that his peeps would turn on him. And they did. This still doesn't take away from the fact, as you have pointed ou , that groups of people leech of celebrities as long as it is financially rewarding to do so ... even in the declining years when the gossip rags are desperate for fodder.
