Guest guest
Yes, give us all some insight into this. Cheryl S Re: Re: Digest Number 1182 Charlene, Why do you think your kids don't suffer from leaky gut? Almost ALL of these kids do. I mean, did you have some magic test done to prove otherwise? If so, I'd like to hear about it. Rhonda
Guest guest
YOu know I always have constipation since I was at least 6 years old. I may go feces once a week is all. Kids eat 4 times what normal kids there ages are. No cramps but lots of gas!!!! Guest guest
Now, now, I didn't say all, I said MOST all. Until I put my daughter on Culturelle probiotics 2 months ago, she never, never, had a formed bm. Also, she appeared constipated but when she went, had diarrhea. Took her to the GI specialist and what do you think the first words out of her mouth were? Yep, leaky guy, malabsorption. Now that we're clearing up these issues, we have a MUCH happier child. There is a connection to absorption and autism. I don't know why but I'm sure one of you smarter people could do a search and turn up a few papers on the very subject. I poo-poo'd all this for a while until I did my own research and the proof is in the pudding. (GF/CF pudding of course:) Rhonda
Guest guest
First of all, leaky gut is inside. It's basically malabsorption, meaning, some things leak out, usually the good stuff and only the bad stuff stay in. Or something like this:) I'm tired. I'm cold. I've had way too many kids at my house today due to vacation this week. Let me just say this. If your kid's poops aren't formed and are yellow-y, chances are it's a leaky gut. Everyone can benefit from a good probiotic. They don't hurt and are quite helpful in proper digestion. Probably the best place to start. They eat the bad stuff so the good stuff can grow. Make sense? Guest guest
My daughter has suffered from bad gas and stomach discomfort for years. After we started the Houston enzymes, the stomach issue all but disappeared and we no longer have crying and temper tantrums associated with stomach problems. Unfortunately, the gas is still there (: Re: Re: Digest Number 1182 > Well not all are what is termed leaky gut but many , many do have gut > issues, some to be to have diarrhea, constipations, gassy, digestive issues, > bloating, tummy aches etc. I to know I to lived with them much of life and > still be with them. > So do each of my children's have a variety of gut issues such as one to have > much in reflux, Another 2 are much severe constipations and the other one > gets much tummy upset and cramps. > Sondra > > > > > >

I would not have till about 3 months ago, when I started taking supplements. Without magnesium and calcium, I am a wired anxious little mess. With, I am somewhat almost CALM. Gee, Im nnot deficient in minerals, no not me....and I eat TONS of both, but I need the supplements to absorb it...
