Guest guest
I will email his doc and ask what he thinks about bacteria (a) if we can/should test and ( what can we do. On a side note, I went into my attic last night and found "black mold" all over the roof sheething. Mainly above his bedroom. I have taken samples of it and sent it off to the lab. I am not sure if it "dangerous" black mold yet. But still, mold is mold. I would assume that a mold is a fungus...correct? I wonder if this is how it is getting into his body. I read this morning that molds mainly affect the young and old, especially the ones with weakened immune systems. Have you heard of this?. Anyone else with mold in the attic? MKCheryl Lowrance wrote: It's not a stupid question. The answer is no, it only works against fungus. Cheryl Cheryl, Thanks for the input. I have a stupid (I think) question. Does Diflucan take care of bacteria? Or do you need a Yeast aide, Bacteria aide, and a Virus aide? I have researched a bit, and can't find a definitive answer. Bare in mind, I only tested my son for yeast (which he was full of). The rest is based on best guess and following Stan "the man's" protocal. The only time you'll have to worry about any kind of "flare ups" again will be if you switch meds or change dosage. Then you'll go through die off again. My son has been on antivirals for almosst 2 years now so we've had our share of issues but again, once you get through die off, you're fine. My son does take melatonin but he's also learned to fight through it. So it doesn't work nearly as well when they fight it! Yes, you do need to take breaks from melatonin as it will stop working. Take about a week off and restart. Cheryl How is your son doing after the flare ups on Valtrex? We have tried Melatonin for the sleep, but I think he has gotten accustom to it. I Don't think it works any more. I have heard to stop it for a while and re-start. Have you heard of this? Cheryl Lowrance <c.lowranceca (DOT) rr.com> wrote: You *are* going through die off! Red bumps on my son's face also cleared up on Valtrex. Low grade fever is a good sign. Also good that you are seeing gains through this. Die off doesn't feel good so that may be contributing to his even poorer sleep habits and anger when he wakes up. My son is also a poor sleeper so I feel your pain there. If he naps during the day he's out for a good 3 or 4 hours and that *sucks* for night time sleep for us. Trying to wake him up is like trying to wake the dead so I've given up on trying to wake him up from a nap. And there's no stopping the nap from starting with him. He's literally fallen asleep during in the middle of activities. Or he'll just get up, tell you he's tired and go to bed. I hate to drive anywhere during the day because that's instant nap. Ugh. I would go ahead and start your ABA. These are behaviors that your son will go through often between supplement changes, med changes, diet changes, infractions, etc. Cheryl HI. My son Hayden is on Day #8 of Valtrex. At this point, we do not see any rashes, actually small bumps on cheeks that he has had forever seem to be clearing up (a little). Seems to be running a minor fever (feels slightly warm alot) Is there a "die off" affect from Valtrex? We had a major one with the yeast, a month ago. He continues to be on Diflucan and 750mg of Valtrex. When he is up he seems to be more engaged and happy, but when he is upset (mostly at 3:30am)...look out. Pinching, hitting, kicking. NOthing seems to make him happy. He has never been a very good sleeper though. Tried LDN 3 months ago and it seems to have gotten worse from that. Never went back to tolerable (up 2-3 times per week. Now he is up pretty much every night. We try to limit his naps on these days, to prevent not sleeping at night. We are now thinking to let him sleep as long as he wants....who knows. We are very confused and frustrated. Starting private ABA next week and are now thinking this might not be the best time to send him. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
