I woke up very down today bc Matt had runny/wet bm last night...SO frustrating. I went in to get him up for therapy, same old same old...and then while I was dressing in our bathroom he came in in his little jammies, hugged me hard and said I WUV OO. I wuvoo. I wuv....ooooooo! When dad came in to get him I was crying. "Don't upset your mother, Matt." ANd he scooped him up. Matt looked confused, but he smiled at me on the way out and said Bye to ooo...bye."Nonverbal four months ago and still far from out of the woods....May all of you have really productive and joyful days with your kiddos today...thank all of you for the near constant hand holding and help. I guess that's one thing as parents most of us will probably never take

any thing our kids do for granted.

There's a lot of pain, no doubt, but the joys that come hit so hard,

its an unbelievable feeling.

Working towards your kid recovering is damn hard, and absolutely

exhausting, but when you start to see the progress, it seems to access

some kind of energy reserve, so that you just don't stop and keep

going, no matter how tired you are.

And then talking about it gives more energy to others.

By the way, did I mention I was tired.....

Thanks for the energy boost!

Cheers

Your post made me cry. I remember when I heard those words and also started crying. It is like a miracle.

I get better and better and you crave for more and more.

Enjoy it. Congratulations. It is hard work, but it pays off.

Di,

That's so wonderful. I know how exciting and

moving it can be to have your little one respond

to you.

Something similar happened to me today, and it

was wonderful, but it still made me cry.
