Guest guest
I just saw this post. I think that I read somewhere that if you take certain antibiotics for an extended time, that your teeth may taken on a yellow tinge. I think that this was especially true for tetracycline. My teeth have a yellow tinge to them. I have never been a smoker, cola/coffee drinker etc. What I did do was take a whole lotta different types of antibiotics as a kid and teenager for acne treatment. > > > > My son's teeth are turning yellow and I'm wondering whether it is a > > reaction to something we've been doing. Guest guest
I was told this is called spectrum teeth (yellowing and grayish tones). We use sprye toothpaste that was bought at the local co-op. It has a natural anti-plaque ingredient called xylitol in it, and it's without flouride. My son just turned three and we use it. Works great. Re: Yellowing Teeth I just saw this post. I think that I read somewhere that if you take certain antibiotics for an extended time, that your teeth may taken on a yellow tinge. Guest guest
leslie, i read your post about "yellowing teeth" being called spectrum teeth. what does that mean exactly? what causes it and does the spry toothpaste make the teeth less yellow? how long does that take to do? my son has lots of plaque and teeth seem to be turning yellow and i just cant seem to figure out what is causing it. his teeth used to be white but recently noticed that they have changed to yellowish color. his teeth have been brushed since he was 2 years old. thanks for your insight. teresa I was told this is called spectrum teeth (yellowing and grayish tones). Guest guest
leslie, thanks for that info. it just so happens that i bought spry toothpaste last week but i haven't tried it yet. i can't wait to try it cause i am stressing out over my son's teeth. teresa Hi , I don't know exactly what is meant by the term "spectrum teeth".....but I'm assuming that many kids on the spectrum have this condition. The sprye toothpaste works immediately, and the teeth become white again. I've heard it changes the ph or something in the mouth. Sprye doesn't have fluoride, either. It's really helped us. can be purchased at a local co op, too. Re: Yellowing Teeth I just saw this post.
