Guest guest
I was reading one of my journals the other day (sorry can't recall which one) and the article was about Physicians being held accountable for Identity Theft! Initially I thought "Well, that makes my decision about taking credit cards easy! No deal!" But it went on to state that physicians may be liable because they do not demand patient payment in full at time of visit and therefore they are acting in the capacity of "extending credit" by waiting for the insurance check to come in! Does anyone have a better handle on what I need to be doing to protect myself from this additional liability? Does anyone understand it better and can explain it to me in plain English? Thanks, Myria
