Guest guest
Hi All Just a post to let you know how the first month after transplant went. Has not been a walk in the part but has not been to bad. My main problems have been from being in the hospital as the beds wrecked my back big time. That's the only reason I took any pain pills. As of today the Doc's lowered some of my drugs and said I don't have to check my blood sugar levels anymore as they have great so far, plus he said I can start driving again. The pain has not been to bad other then your insides feel like they are moving around when you do any training at all and the scar is big. other then the first week I'm happy I did it and was lucky enough to get a transplant. I thought I was one of those that would never get the call do to my blood type, so don't give up you never know when the call might come. Did talk with a gal today that has been on the list for 6 years now , she has a Melt number of 16 and they nurse told her she would not get one till her numbers were up to 20 or so. I hope to go back to work in a few weeks and get some pills paid lOL. rich
