All,

i have just found out, through a few phone calls from friends, that is on the front page of the Local Newspaper. Danny helped out at 's school and and her built a beautiful friendship. In her final year of schooling last year, Art was one of her subjects and she asked if I would mind if she could photograph for her final exams.

looks so tired - and she was very tired as it was done late afternoon. I am going to take to the Exhibition on the weekend.

What a very talented and perceptive young lady! I hope she continues her advocacy! I am curious though, the article said she was upset with the judgments made of people with disabilities, but it implied the judgments were coming from with in the school?Those are some great photos of your beautiful , hope she gives you some!! Danny found that when the children went out into the community, that people were staring at the children. This upset her greatly. She was about 15 years old when she came to e Road to do work experience. She enjoyed it so much e Road has a very good reputation. But this did really stick in her mind 2 years later when she was doing her Leaving Certificate (called HSC).

At 's school they are out anything up to 3 times a week - they are facilities poor. They go to different places of interest every Wednesday using a variety of transport- bus, train, ferry. On Monday they go to the local gym for a few hours for gymnastics and then come back to school. There is a beautiful private school (she goes to a public school)1 block away and they are able to use their athletics field and swimming pool (the school has just had theirs repaired). There is a primary school across the road and they do group activities together throughout the year. So it was with these experiences that she noticed all the staring. It is funny but I don't notice it. I was speaking with my eldest about staring and he said that he noticed it and just stares back, a lot longer than they do (he is hitting teenager years)

You will see Danny leaning on the wheelchair. What is displayed on this wheelchair is a small TV and she has a video going all the time. She filmed it at the level that people in wheelchairs see, and it highlights the difficulties people have in trying to to their various day to day activities, just in the shopping centre.
