" 1793, a patent was granted to Ralph Hodgson, New York, for oiled silk & linen. 1862, Howe published " Battle Hymn of the Republic. " 1893, Edison completed the world's first movie studio (West Orange NJ).1989, Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann 1 was at its perihelion. 1994, a large meteorite fell near Kusaie, Pacific Ocean.
