Guest guest
Maureen: What have you done to kill bad bacteria? Its the number one thing I see making these children come around. I know viruses and yeast get the spotlight, but how many have killed viruses and yeast with little improvement. Now ask how many have killed bad bacteria will little improvement. Get the bad bacteria. Every tough case I have seen was they did not treat for bad bacteria except for one where they found worms in the brain. And they had to really work at killing those worms, for they did not die easy. But once gone, the child came around. Also, the reason all these pathogens are getting into their brains besides toxins and gmo foods, is cell phones and cordless phones. Change out cordless phones, and turn off cell phones while you are home, is the recommendations I see. There are also expensive Faraday tents/nets, but they cost over $1,000.00 I hear they are cheaper in the long run since they can lead to one spending less money on things like chelation. Heidi N Hi all, My 5year severe asd daughter, has tried it all, she has done almost every diet, gf/cf/soy,egg,sugar free organic for more than 2 years (SCD for 2 months now,) she has been on almost every supp, she's done valtrex,b12 anti fungal, she tried chelation, the only thing left is HBOT but we have no $ left, she has been on Flagyl for 2 weeks and she can't keep that down she vomits at least 1 dose every day, we have been trying valtrex for 3 months now and nothing. We see no change, except loss of appetite and the vomiting. I am at my wits end and my husband and my family think I am just making her sick. What do I do? should I stop and just invest time and money into ABA we are paying 3400$ a month for this already?? Anyone see improvements after this long? Should I stop and accept defeat ?? Guest guest
Testing is very unreliable. My son's stools came back as well-digested, yet when I gave him digestive enzymes, he lost nealy half his symptoms. Thus, what's really going on. I could give more examples, but know that testing is unreliable, and I just treat for all pathogen types. My kids are recovered. Heidi N We did it all, viral testing , OAT, metals, allergy, live cell, oxidative stress testing, blood urine and stool, for bacteria and fungus, we did all the testing that our DAN said too, over 2000$ worth in the last 4 months, all the test showed mild, mild fungal mild bacterial, mild epstein barr virus no oxidative stress, mild Mg and mild Lead everything was MILD so we treated her, no improvments in her autistic symptoms, even our DAN is stumped. She still has soft stools but oterwise she is fine GI wise.Get the scoop on last night's hottest shows and the live music scene in your area - Check out TourTracker.com! Guest guest
What about Sara's diet? It's removing luteins from the diet. I have had my daughter on it for 19 days now and she is doing really well so far. She even had her very first " die off " reaction from it when nothing else gave her that reaction. We did the SCD for 6 months and all she got from it was constipation. http://www.saras-autism-diet.freeservers.com/ You have you order the pdf for $5 on that page. Email me, I have it if you want. I choose to go egg free even though the diet says egg whites are okay. > > Hi all, My 5year severe asd daughter, has tried it all, she has done > almost every diet, gf/cf/soy,egg,sugar free organic for more than 2 > years (SCD for 2 months now,) she has been on almost every supp, she's > done valtrex,b12 anti fungal, she tried chelation, the only thing left > is HBOT but we have no $ left, she has been on Flagyl for 2 weeks and > she can't keep that down she vomits at least 1 dose every day, we have > been trying valtrex for 3 months now and nothing. Guest guest
did you do IGG testing? AND IGE testing? you want to do diet first then work on the other things like suppliments, bacteria, yeast and then viral last with chelation. treating viruses and chelation will also increase yeast so you may again need to address that, if you did it all at once instead of step by step that may also be you aren't seeing any progress. you can't possibley cram all that into 4 months. I hate to say this but if he had you do all that in that short of a time span I think i would be looking for another DAN as that is way to much to address in that time and he may not know what he is doing, Recovering from Autism is a marathonNOT a sprint, but FULLY possible!Read more about it on my BLOGs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelkinghttp://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwishes Need hope> > > Hi all, My 5year severe asd daughter, has tried it all, she has done > almost every diet, gf/cf/soy,egg,sugar free organic for more than 2 > years (SCD for 2 months now,) she has been on almost every supp, she's > done valtrex,b12 anti fungal, she tried chelation, the only thing left > is HBOT but we have no $ left, she has been on Flagyl for 2 weeks and > she can't keep that down she vomits at least 1 dose every day, we have > been trying valtrex for 3 months now and nothing. Guest guest
We will find a better DAN...we did all the blood work up all the liver thyroid, cbc zinc all that are recomended we do rotate our food. We did both allergy tests and eliminated oranges, eggs, sugar. Her diet was in place for months and most GI problems almost resolved. She has soft but normal smelling stools ,her gas and bloating are gone she eats so well, no cravings no problems with appitite. I can remember all the Paris tests but they seem to cover it all, ox stress, porphyrins OAT nutritional etc thanks for your help thanks for your advice > > > > > > sounds like you need to stop and do testing to find out what > her > > current issues are and then just go after those, did you intially > do > > testing to do what you are curretnly doing or just doing it all > > > > > > Recovering from Autism is a marathon > > > NOT a sprint, but FULLY possible! > > > Read more about it on my BLOGs at > > > http://www.myspace.com/christelking > > > http://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwishes > > > > > > > > > Need hope > > > > > > > > > Hi all, My 5year severe asd daughter, has tried it all, she has > > done > > > almost every diet, gf/cf/soy,egg,sugar free organic for more > than > > 2 > > > years (SCD for 2 months now,) she has been on almost every > supp, > > she's > > > done valtrex,b12 anti fungal, she tried chelation, the only > thing > > left > > > is HBOT but we have no $ left, she has been on Flagyl for 2 > weeks > > and > > > she can't keep that down she vomits at least 1 dose every day, > we > > have > > > been trying valtrex for 3 months now and nothing. Guest guest
Hi Maureen, I think many of us on this board understand what you are feeling and can empathize. I have felt, in the past, as you are feeling now. I haven't read the other posts yet, but here are some thoughts of mine. I too have a daughter (6 yrs. old, mild ASD, SEVERE debilitating anxieties, expressive/receptive speech delay, auditory processing disorder and sensory integration dysfunction). When I reached my lowest point, I found that in order to see SOME progress, I needed to change EVERYTHING around for my daughter. I started by pulling her off of ALL supplements, then restarting them, slowly, one at a time, to see which ones had an effect on her (good, bad or otherwise). If I saw NO changes, I kept her on them and added the next, if I saw a positive change, I did the same, and if I saw negative changes, I pulled her back off, in some cases altogether. Some supplements in which she reacted to negatively, such as P5P, I found another form of B6 to give her (liquid Carlson brand...nasty but no negative reactions). Other supplements, such as the DMAE she became hyper with, and I took her off altogether. Only after I put all the supplements back on board, and I was satisfied that she wasn't having negative reactions did I start to seek other alternative treatments. I began with NAET to try to clear her of any allergies that she had that I possibly didn't realize she had (golden delicious and fuji apples..she was very sensitive to them. I did a NAET clearing and now she tolerates the fuji without incident). After doing NAET I then switched to Chiropractic Neurology which has been working wonders for her sensory issues although it still hasn't settled any of her anxieties, at least not enough that they do not control her life. I also enrolled her in a social skills group and in the fall I will enroll her in a special needs soccer program. Everything you do needs to be a progressive step. If you notice good changes, keep it going and add something else. If you see nothing choose to either keep that specific 'step' or eliminate it...whichever works best for you and your daughter. Its sounds like you have been doing EVERYTHING and have seen little progress. Maybe taking a step back then restarting is what you need to do. I don't think I would continue giving any supplement or medication that is making her vomit so much. It may be an allergic reaction. If its die off, make sure to give her the activated charcoal, if you can get it in her. Don't stop fighting for your daughter's good health outcome, no matter what the masses say. You're her mother. You may want to take a step back...a breather...for your own sake, your own health; and that's fine. But do what's in your heart. I have no support system at home (my husband does absolutely NOTHING to try to help our daughter, it's all on me), and I have no close relatives to go to for support or encouragement. I follow my heart and go where it leads me. I know that by doing this I will do what is best for my daughter. I wish you the best of luck with finding the puzzle pieces to help your daughter recover. It is such a long process. Hang in there. Karmen Need hope Hi all, My 5year severe asd daughter, has tried it all, she has done almost every diet, gf/cf/soy,egg,sugar free organic for more than 2 years (SCD for 2 months now,) she has been on almost every supp, she's done valtrex,b12 anti fungal, she tried chelation, the only thing left is HBOT but we have no $ left, she has been on Flagyl for 2 weeks and she can't keep that down she vomits at least 1 dose every day, we have been trying valtrex for 3 months now and nothing. We see no change, except loss of appetite and the vomiting. I am at my wits end and my husband and my family think I am just making her sick.
