Guest guest
Hello Everybody! Most of us already took VCNO as supplement in our diet. Does anyone already checked their cholesterol level, blood sugar or uric acid and found some significant changes ? Best regards, Neil Re: Quiet > -Irene, > We are still here . Guest guest
Irene, I am reading everything. I am new to this group for the last 3 months. I do not have a regular affordable supply of coconut oil. As soon as this is settled, I will try more recipes and included it in my diet on a regular basis. I find that changing my way is easier bit by bit too. Diane ----Original Message Follows---- From: vegasrenie@... Guest guest
Hey Kim, It's very nice to have you back. Still having the same inlaw problems (grandma is whacked!) but other than that things seem to be fine now. I can't believe your baby girl is already 14 months old! My how time flies. Guest guest
i was thinking how quiet its been around here! i'm still battling my sinus infection - its getting old! i had a CT done last week (i'll get to see the report when i go to get my xolair on the 22nd), and am waiting to follow up my ketek (antibiotic) with a three week course of cipro via nebulizer. (i'll start that tomorrow assuming UPS delivers the meds as planned) with some luck, it will make the infection go away, which in turn will make my lungs and asthma VERY happy. xolair is still going well and going strong. its been a little busy here trying to get ready for the holidays and all. i hope everyone is doing well and keeping busy. heather --- In , " " <cox58asthma@y...> wrote: > > > Hi, > > Hope that the lack of messages means that everyone is well and just > very busy getting ready for the holidays. > > Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday. > > God Bless > >
Guest guest
Peggy, I hope your new pain regime gives you enough comfort to enjoy at least the rest of the summer. I think it is great to keep a journal or some kind of written account of what is going on. It helps you remember how it was, what is working, what is not,and also come to terms with what is happening. I know I have had to look back now to remember what happened when....and there are a variety or reasons why I might want to remember in the future...but who knows how long this memeroy will hold out! Guest guest
Peggy, do you take the Vicodin on top of the neurontin? Just wondering, because I took both one time and I felt just awful, dizzy and nauseous. Great if it works for you, though. And good luck on the surgery! Sharon [ ] quiet I've been pretty busy lately so I've been unable to keep up with email. After church on Sunday I decided that I just needed to get out of the house for awhile and enjoy myself. I told my husband and he said "Okay." I told him that I'm pretty sure I'll need surgery and will be confined to the house so I want to enjoy myself while I can. I went to Tuesday Morning, Belk, the used book shop, and Wal-mart. I have been gaining 3 pounds of fluid on the weekends and have linked it to the Percocet. So yesterday I called my doctor and had him switch me to Vicodin. I have found that if I take 2 at a time it reduces my pain. One Neurontin and one Tramadol keeps my pain level at 5/10. Adding the Vicodin has brought it down to 1-2/10. I spoke with Dr. Rickabaugh today and he has no problem with me taking it at work since it doesn't make me drowsy or affect my ability to function. He also said that if I cannot wait until October for surgery then they will just have to work things out in the office so that I can have it earlier. I told him I have lived with the pain this long so waiting a few more months probably won't matter. I also told him that if Dr. Reeg wants to fuse the area then I will be seeking a second opinion from a revision specialist and the one I want to see is in St. Louis, Missouri. Today I went to Carolina Home Medical and picked out a cane. I know I will need it in the future. When the pain is going down my left leg sometimes my knee gives way. I also need something to lean on at times and I think it will help. I'm going to start a journal as well, everything that has happened since I had my back x-rays in December because I know having a detailed record will help me down the road. Guest guest
It was suggested that I keep a journal in case I have to apply for disability. I think it is a good idea. I can document that I started working full-time in October, the pain became so bad that I had x-rays in December. I was told that I could not take narcotics while working so my doctor put me on Mobic and Neurontin. It helped some, and I started seeing a chiropractor earlier this year. Those treatments worked for awhile but I needed something more for the pain and started Tramadol. The pain became extreme again so I had an MRI. It showed the bulging discs and severe arthritis so stopped chiropractic treatment and started Vicodin. A neurosurgeon refused my case and I am waiting to see a spinal surgeon. But this downhill spiral started because I HAD to start working FULL-TIME. That's my story in a nutshell. Guest guest
That's a bummer Peggy - not having a driver. Do you feel sure that you can make the round trip on your own? There are the hotels across the street - even if you needed to check in long enough to get a good restful nap before heading back home. I found out today that Dr. Hey is out of the country - I think he's on vacation - even when I go back (July 9th or something like that) he'll still be out. I'll be seeing who I like and am willing to see if Dr. Hey isn't available. There seems to be such of a difference in mine and your current stability or post-op stage. It seems as though you're doing so very well. I feel that way about myself, but haven't entertained the thought of driving yet, ... it just seems like I'm either a little bit slow on bouncing back (but am making steady progress) (but getting so sick while in the hosp. could have slowed things down a little bit for me) and you seem to be zip-zooming along! When you came to see me in Raleigh, I remember thinking how well you looked - besides your natural beauty and youthfulness (are you sure you're old enough to have children those ages?!) - you just didn't look like someone who had recently gone through some pretty major surgery. [ ] quiet Everyone is quiet today! My hubby finally got the job in Atlanta and has to start Monday morning. I will have to travel to Raleigh by myself for my appointment with Dr. Hey. I haven't been able to find anyone willing to go with me, not even my 15-year-old daughter! She doesn't want to get up early and leave the house by 9:00 AM! She also gets car sick in the mornings so I don't blame her. We just found out on Friday that had the job so it hasn't given me time to find someone to go with me, and I hate to miss the appointment. I want to know how the fusion looks, etc. Peggy

Guest guest
Thanks for the compliment, ! It's one advantage of oily skin - I stay young looking and don't wrinkle! I didn't start driving until 4 weeks post-op and then it was just going 1 mile and back. I have driven to Beaufort twice which is 16 miles. I haven't attempted to go to Morehead City yet. Hopefully I'll find someone at church who can go with me. I didn't realize Dr. Hey was out of the country. I'm disappointed that I won't be seeing him even though I like very much. If I don't find someone, maybe I'll reschedule until he's back. Peggy [ ] quiet Everyone is quiet today! My hubby finally got the job in Atlanta and has to start Monday morning. Guest guest
Hi, Barb. Fortunately I found a qualified surgeon at Duke and did not have to leave the state for revision surgery. I went to Dr. Hey up in Raleigh. I had my surgery on May 3 and have my 6 week check up tomorrow. I seem to be doing well following surgery. Guest guest
OK I know that instant messenger offers chat rooms via the mesenger soft ware. Since we are in a group, you can go through the members and if they are online on IM they will show as online. You can invite them to chat that way or have them on your buddy list like MSN. offers voice chat too for those who have microphones. Either use or MSN are the only ways I know of getting free chat other than setting up a free chat room somewhere. I know that there were platforms in the past that you could do that, but you would just have to do a search on it first. Kim quiet seems like it got quite in here. Group I am going to start chay back up soon. I would love to have a website so there would be 24 hour chst deeddion I cant sfford a monthly website fee they cost 35 dollors a month and up. so I need to find best way for our group to hold regular chat any ideas?
