Guest guest
Hello all, I very much appreciate the (generally) good cheer, insight and banter that flows from this imp group to my computer every morning! As a soon to be graduated FM resident/doctor who is also rather extensively trained in integrative medicine (nutritional, functional/herbal, homeopathy), I am intending to open an integrative private practice in southeastern NE/RI next June. My quandry is one faced by all of us - and answered in various ways - but particularly by the integrative/CAM doctor: how to support ourselves while seeing pts for 30/60/90 minutes a visit. Integrative medicine takes a lot of time. I'm thinking of an access/yrly membership so as to be able to accept insurance, and this seems to me to be the best compromise btwn flat-out cash-based practice and all insurance/all the time. I know that the " access " model seems to be falling by the wayside lately, which I don't understand.... PLease: insights and thoughts? By the way, I plan on fully IMPin' it up, so low overhead is very key. I'm very lucky to have 3 full-blooded IMPers in the ocean state and so I'm very inspired/well-advised in that regard.
