Guest guest
Does anyone know anything about " co branding " ? I have been trying to sign up with Harvard PIlgrim for a year and am working with them temporarily It has been a year of endless trouble and now I find out they " co brand products " with UHC This makes me very leery of continuing the relationship I have a small number of patients with HP They are patients who largely were transferredto HP from Anthem(blue CRoss) by t he state program they are subsidized into . I would hat e to lose these people. I bet they would all leave. HP pays me well and I could take more into the practice but anything that says UHC on it make s me want to turn and run.As frankly do their dealing with me thus far There are few insurances here .I want nothing to do with most of them. I am still struggling with money and managing patietn load in this practice but do not want to shoot myslef in the foot. How did you get them to answer the phone? Subject: RE: Insurance company pruningTo: Date: Thursday, October 16, 2008, 7:35 PM I ran into this also when I quit United. Their contract says that you have to give them 90d notice, but can't do it until your anniversary date of signing the contract. In other words, if you signed in October, you can give notice that as of October you won't see their patients any more, and tell them that in July, 90d before your anniversary. But if you signed in Feb, you have to wait until at least 90 d before the Feb date of your contract. We were within a month, and had already notified the patients, so it worked out for us. Call their client services person, and get them to put it in writing. Cote' ------------ -- Original message ------------ -- From: drmargepol (DOT) net I had sent my letter to Oxford/United few weeks ago. Just got back a letter from them that I have to see their patients until 4/16/2009??? Of course the contracts that I had signed were done several years ago when I was employed somewhere else and I don't have copies. I have asked them to send me copies of the contract but have to say, I thought 90 days would have been plenty of time. Not sure where they are getting 7 months from- was hoping to be rid of them by the New Year!
