Guest guest
My 17 year old non- verbal son was initially dx'd with PDD, probably Autism at age 22 months. He eventually was diagnosed as having Autism. He has no speech, except for on 3 occasions since age 3, a total of 11 words in 14 years. Unless he improves dramatically he will not be able to drive or live independently. My brother has Aspergers...He was known as a "weird kid" growing up with limited social skills and some odd stereo-typical behaviors. He got "stuck" on certain subjects for long periods of time such as flags, radio stations, HAM radios, computers, etc. He has been able to hold down a job for 30+ years and is happily married. I, also have Aspergers, but at the higher end. So to me the difference is very huge...between being able to function in society, although painfully at times...or not at all.........Lindy"Do not fear nor be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you ALWAYS!" 1:9 "The mighty oak was once a NUT that stood it's ground."Protect yourself from radiation and Bring your body back into balance... http://www.cellphoneguardian.com/cmd.php?af=731322
