Guest guest
Thanks for the heads up.. I was going to rent this movie for my family this evening.. Now i will find something else. Thanks. Steph [sPAM][DownSyndromeInfoExchange] Fw: Drew Movie Dear Everyone, I just rented the movie “ Drew” as I wanted to watch a “Family” style movie with the kids over Easter break. The story line was somewhat cute and I was expecting it to be wholesome as inspired by the book series. I was quite taken aback by the scene where has a large party of friends over and a couple of rival girls greeted her by saying, “I didn’t know this party had a RETARDED THEME”. There was absolutely no relevance for this statement. It was very offensive. I am so tired of the entertainment world taking potshots at those that have no voice. It would never be acceptable to use a racial slur in the same manner. There would be a huge outcry. Proverbs 31:8, 9 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” This film was put out by Warner Brothers and the director is Fleming. If you feel so inclined, please pass this email to others so those who have no voice may gain one. Respectfully yours, Matulis
