HI, I have been using natural antivirals and have been considering the valtrex.I am not sure if my son's doctor will go for it or not.I may have to find a doctor who will agree with it.What is the average length of time people use it? Also, I have been doing the olive leaf extract and garlic,I am thinking of trying the virastop. How much is everyone else doing for the dosage on the OLE? My son weighs 65 lbs and he takes the capsule form.I started out with one a day and he is now taking 2 per day.I am wondering if he needs to take substantially more.I read in Stan's files that some people give pretty high doses of the valtrex so maybe more of the naturals would be the right thing to do as well. I noticed that after my son started the ole he got a couple of blisters around his mouth and he was so tired he would put his head down on the dinner table and I could barely get him to bed before

he fell asleep wherever he happend to be. I am assuming that is a sign that things were working. It was only for the first week though so do I am wondering if it is still working or I should increase the dose. I am sorry there is so many questions but I have one more. How does everyone know when something is working.I know to look for improvements in their child but if they plateu do you keep giving the antivirals for a certain amount of time? I have tried stopping to see if there is a difference and then restarting. The only thing I noticed was he got another blister after I restarted. Maybe I am just not giving high enough doses. We do the OLE and garlic, any other suggestions for antivirals besides the valtrex? Thank you,
