Guest guest
You can get it at New Beginnings. . It is called Methy-Mate B12. Because of the LAWS, they can't sell it as a nasal spray but that's what it is. When you call and order it ask for the sprayer to go with it. I know many moms who use this. jo > I too am interested in the mb12 nasal spray.. My doctor ( the same one who would prescribe me selexa just cos I had asked for it) said no because she had'nt heard of it and it was'nt in her fat book of pills. When I asked her if she would research it because I wanted it and had been researching it myself for the last month she said no! Funny how she is no longer my doctor. > > I also contacted the company that produces it in hopes of getting it through them and they said I needed a prescription.. catch 22. Guest guest
New Beginnings was at DAN and they have a sublingual form that they add liquid too and then you put in nasal bottle. We use subcu for my son. Someday will move to nasal for him. I believe the body will use supplements, script meds if we lay a foundation first with diet. If a diet is high in acidic foods that cause virus to thrive it's going to be difficult to have a response with antivirals. If the diet is high in yeast feeders or hard on digestion antifungals will not be effective. If the diet continues to congest the liver, less likely supplements can do their job. This is what we witness in our home and what people I respect Baker, Gates, L , Grams are saying. You're likely to get much more from a DAN when the body is functioning best and this starts at home with plant based whole foods diet. Best to you! > > > > Just wanted to share that I saw Stan at the DAN in NJ and tried > nasal > > B12. I was shocked by the experience. Guest guest
Thanks ! I'm going crazy not knowing what to do! We cannot get in with DAN until Aug so I'm trying to find things that will help him in the meantime. We had testing done by pediatric GI that showed no problems with gut but then again I don't know that they tested the right things we all know how that goes.....From what I have been reading it seems he might have a viral problem. I just don't want to give him any supplements that might give him problems because at this time I don't know what should be used with what. So the new beggining's B12 can be used by itself just as a vitamin supplement right? Thanks so much for the help! Guest guest
Lynnett, There is so much you can do between now and August. The more we take what harms away and learn what the body needs, the better it can heal. We can't control the air pollution, we didn't know to control toxicity in vaccines and med, we CAN CONTROL what we allow our babies to eat. When you know better you do better. We were a typical american family. I thought we were " healthy. " I thought I was doing a good job because when we went to Mcs once a week I made sure my son had applesauce instead of fries and milk instead of soda. 2+ years into following advanced gfcf (BED) we eat cultured vegetables, green drink, vegetables with every meal. A treat is a homemade dehydrated seed cracker or cookie. Look into SCD and BED to see what feels right to you for your son's needs. Does he have food addictions, cravings, yeast? BED may be good for you. SCD and BED are great because they are foods prepared in the kitchen rather than fast easy american processed foods we've all become accustomed to. If I can help you come up with a plan from now until August I'd be glad too. We wanted to start biomed, and got started on BED. Month after month my son got better and it took 2 years later for me to even visit biomed because he kept improving with BED. We went from a very severe, non verbal state to very high functioning and on his way to recovery. It was daily consistency and very intensive. No short cuts, but well worth the work. Though not yet fully recovered, our life is much easier. Our 4.5 yr old is attending a Montessori homeschool with no support or assistance. He plays, talks, looks, listens, and is very with us now. You'll be doing your family and DAN doc a HUGE service to do all that you can to remove toxins from your home and from your son's food supply. Along with removing there is so much you can add to heal with diet. GFCF takes away, BED takes away and adds healing nourishing foods. Best to you! > > > > > > > > Just wanted to share that I saw Stan at the DAN in NJ and > tried > > > nasal > > > > B12. I was shocked by the experience. Guest guest
You know, food is huge for our children's recovery. There are other pollutants in their environment we can also control though. Don't use a microwave, avoid aluminum and plastics in any cooking or storage (I also wouldn't feed my child on plastic, esp hot foods), keep redecorating to a min, or wait until your child is recovered to do it. Avoid other pollutants if you can, like high traffic areas (because of exhaust fumes), perfumes and dyes, and smoking or being around ppl who smoke because the pollutants are still on their clothes even if they're not smoking around you. Guest guest
Re: starting GFCF, or other diets. Just start gradually. For example, if you plan to cut dairy milk, and your child really likes it, just add 1/4 of whatever you are switching to to 3/4 dairy milk. Decrease dairy milk and increase substitute until you've made the switch. You can do the same with yogurt. Gluten is a bit harder, but I would start by cutting back the amount of sandwiches, bread you offer, until it's totally off the menu. Wait a week or two, then add GF products. I haven't done SCD yet, so maybe someone can chime in on that. GFCF is not too hard. I live in the middle of nowhere and still manage to find enough products locally to feed my son. Guest guest
That is a great idea! I tried getting him to go from one to the other just like that and he wasn't having that so mixing it might actually work out great! Thanks for the idea!! For example, if you plan to cut dairymilk, and your child really likes it, just add1/4 of whatever you are switching to to 3/4 dairymilk. Decrease dairy milk and increasesubstitute until you've made the switch. You cando the same with yogurt. Gluten is a bit harder, but I would start bycutting back the amount of sandwiches, bread youoffer, until it's totally off the menu. Wait aweek or two, then add GF products.I haven't done SCD yet, so maybe someone canchime in on that. GFCF is not too hard. Guest guest
our kids are nuro damaged from toxins in our enviornment, it is part of what tips of our genetics to give us autism, autism doesn't HAVE to be life long, that is the beauty of what she is trying to tell you, how to HEAL your childs body burden of toxins to get them back and loose the autism. my son lost his dx in oct of this year with changing diet and doing more whole foods and more organic things. suppliments to help him detox things, covering his bed to lower the chemical contact he has ect. makes us safe but doesn't seperate him. they DID modify his class room according to his allergies so he can be at school and still be safe. Recovering from Autism is a marathon NOT a sprint, but FULLY possible! Read more about it on my BLOGs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelking Re: Re: Nasal B 12 No offense, but it sounds as if you are saying one should move into an empty sealed up cave or have our child be the "boy in a bubble" on their block. I for one would like for my kid to at least feel somewhat "normal" and not alienated. Everything in our world seems to be somewhat contaminated as of now, but isn't teaching our kids to be afraid of everything in their environment equally as bad? Autism seems to be a lifelong struggle as it is without adding the neurotic parts. This kind of talk frightens me as I am so very new to this..
