Guest guest
I think the people to ask would be the ones who are going to be picking up the phone on the other end- the dispatchers. I am sure they would have some good input. I do know if someone calls 911, they HAVE to respond in some way. If a child calls, they have to send someone out, even if they call back and talk to someone. I *think* they can add information to the screen that pops up when your phone calls in too....such as a person with DS lives there who is hard to understand. One of my kids accidentally hit auto dial for 911 and even though we explained it was an accident and everyone was fine, since they heard a child's voice, they said they had to come and check everything out and make sure the child wasn't in fear of his life for calling 911 on an abusive person in the home. And they DID check out each and everyone of our children. A good thing, I guess. ;-)So I think no matter what she says, if she places that call, they are going to send someone out.I have AVOIDED teaching about 911and it's written in her IEP to take her out of the room if they are teaching it too. She would be calling them every day if she knew. <g> Carol in IL AIM doihavtasay1 GigaTribe doihavtasayMom to seven including , 7 with TOF, AVcanal, GERD, LS, Asthma, subglottal stenosis, and DS.My problem is not how I look. I would prefer we could set something up where they call back first. Carol In a message dated 6/13/2008 4:15:06 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, scarlson1cinci (DOT) rr.com writes:would not say sick.. I would say Mergency. You don't want her calling during the learning phase cause she throws up in the middle of the night. Vote for your city's best dining and nightlife. City's Best 2008.
