Hi Janet, I think 23 is too old actually,

unless she is a college student. Check the SSA website I am sure the info is

there, if not she should be able to apply for disability anyway and get

approved for SSI, this would give her full Medicaid at least.

We are evaluating a 23 year old patient

for a kidney txp. who has an insufficient work history to qualify for

Medicare. Does anyone know the rules re: her receiving coverage through a

parent - ie. does she need to document that she has been ill? She has

been on dialysis since 10/31/07.
