Guest guest Posted February 4, 2008 Report Share Posted February 4, 2008 Thank you for your prompt replies… Doctor says that my sweetie is too weak to start round 2 of the peg & ribo treatment at this time. He wants to recheck the viral load again in 6 months. Viral load originally was 339,000….he tested clear after 48 weeks of treatment. We had to stop treatment early (instead of the 52 weeks Doctor wanted to treat) as his red & white blood counts were past dangerously low and had been for quite some time. He has been off treatment for 5 months. Now his viral load is relatively low…1300. The year he was on treatment was very hard on him in every possible way. Doctor was very interested when we told him we had read about an oral pill that was in clinical trial for people with 1a. Thanks for finding it …..I’ll do more research and forward to our doctor.
