Once he is released he must apply to have his Medicare coverage re-instated. J. Guest guest Posted January 14, 2008 Report Share Posted January 14, 2008 Hi Felicia, I don’t think he loses Medicare while incarcerated, I know they lose their SSD check if he was receiving one. At the last hospital I worked at, we had prisoners as regular inpatients that had Medicare.
