Thursday, August 21, 2008 - 7-9pm Successful Teaching Modifications for Kids with Down Syndrome Hosted by GiGi's Playhouse Plainfield & West Suburban Parent Support Group for Down Syndrome Moderator: Sharon Tate Assistant Superintendent, Student Services Indian Prairie School District 204 Location: GiGi's Playhouse Plainfield 10052 S. Bode Rd Unit D Plainfield, IL 60585 Research shows that kids with Down Syndrome learn differently. This two- hour seminar will provide teaching ideas that have proven successful for the child with Down Syndrome. Math, Reading, Writing, Spelling & Computer skills modifications for grades K-5 will be covered. There will also be information sharing with teaching professionals and parents from local school districts. Please plan on joining us and invite your child's school team!
