Guest guest
I've never heard of her, either. Here's what I found, a whole lot of listings, but almost none have I heard of -- I'm not a pop-culture person, either http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001605/ A few thoughts on the article, though. She mentioned speaking with Offitt, her family member's " mentor. " Okay, that says a lot about her family. What was he being mentored to do, learn how to harm babies to make a profit? Learn how to promote things that are not medically necessary to get rich? To be used as an 'expert " without ever disclosing multiple financial conflicts of interest? Gee, that's not a lot to boast about, either in the family connection or in receiving info from him. Second, she obviously didn't get a very good education. Parasite means to live off another; most of us who make informed choices to refrain from immunization prefer to simply be left alone, quite the opposite of an actress...er...this peet person. www.dictionary.com: parasite: 1. an organism that lives on or in an organism of another species, known as the host, from the body of which it obtains nutriment. 2. a person who receives support, advantage, or the like, from another or others without giving any useful or proper return, as one who lives on the hospitality of others. 3. (in ancient Greece) a person who received free meals in return for amusing or impudent conversation, flattering remarks, etc.
Guest guest
I don't agree with you in your defense of her. I understand that when people have no education on a topic that they can feel the way she does as I was once that way as well. HOWEVER, I would NEVER taken a stance like that in a national magazine and make a very offensive, blanket statement like that. I would not have been arrogant enough to think that I have a definitive answer on any health subject. If I would have made a statement I would have said something like " I have researched both sides of the issue and I feel confidant vaccinating my child. " Peet is a pompous jackass and does not deserve for anyone to defend her for calling ME a parasite because my son was vaccine damaged and I choose not to vaccinate my other children. Guest guest
I probably would have prior to my daughter's situation. I had friends who were against immunizations. I can remember holding down my kids for their shots & laughing at what nuts people like that were with our ped...now I'm one of those nuts.
