Give Minnesota Moms the Perfect Gift:

Safer Toys and Products

ACTION ALERT ON SF 651: Safe Baby Products & Phase-Out of Toxic Flame

Retardant

Please call Governor Pawlenty today and ask him to give Minnesota moms

the perfect gift - safe baby products and consumer products without

toxic flame retardants. Ask him to support SF 651 to phase out

phthalates, chemicals added to plastic baby toys, bibs and other

products for young children. Phthalates are hormone disrupting chemicals

that contribute to reproductive and developmental problems in children.

The bill also phases out deca-BDE, a toxic flame retardant used in

electronic equipment, that is commonly found in household dust and also

contributes to developmental problems in children. Deca is not needed

for fire safety as most electronic manufacturers are phasing it out,

while continuing to meet fire safety standards.

Please Call the Governor TODAY! Ask Gov. Pawlenty to protect children

by supporting SF 651.

Thanks!
