Guest guest
Dear Angel, On behalf of all our members, welcome to our Erythema Nodosum Group! Thanks for sending in your Questionnaire. I have added the information to our " Member Medical History " Files on the Group site and posted it below. You now have Full EN Group privileges. You are receiving ALL EN Group emails, and you can also go to the EN Group site whenever you like: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/erythema_nodosum_Group/ and logging on with your Yahoo ID and secret password. You do not have to have the group emails delivered to be a member here. We have been discussing allergies and their relationship to EN, so we are very interested t hear the results of your testing. Also whenever anyone has IBS we want to be sure they don't have IBD [inflammatory bowel disease] , which includes Crohn's and Ulterative Colitis. These are associated with EN and if you have them you need to be treated to bring EN into remission. I would recomend you see a dermatologist to take a look at the scalp as well. Your rheumy may also know more about EN than your allergist. As far as living with EN I've had it 37 yrs.,and many in our group have decades of experience, so we can surely help you there. Welcome to our Friendly EN Group! Love, ****** Angel Trott's Case History 3/7/06 1. Your name and age: Angel Trott. I'm 39 years old. 2. Your location Cary, North Carolina, USA 3. Your email address: progangel@... 4. Your Yahoo ID prog.angel 5. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group. For over ten years I have had scaley, red, hot nodules on my scalp, face, arms and legs. They appear without warning and usually go away after a few weeks. My regular physician had no idea what they were and after a severe allergic reaction which sent me to the ER, she referred me to an allergist. This morning after 141 injections for allergy testing, my allergist diagnosed me with erythema nodosum and also suspects I have food allergies as well. When I asked him what EN was, he replied that I am " allergic to nature. " That's why I've applied to join your group. I need support and information and want to help others once I understand and learn how to live with EN. 6. List any other health conditions. Diabetes, fibromyalgia, IBS and a hernia. 7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their effectiveness: I haven't started taking anything yet. My allergist doesn't want me to take any meds at all until I have my food allergy test next week and the blood test results are back. 8. When did you first get erythema nodosum or PG? I've been having the nodules for over 10 years. 9. How long have you had erythema nodosum or PG? My allergist thinks I have it for over 10 years as well. 10. Do you agree to treat all EN members with respect? Yes. 11.Do you agree to post NO advertisements for any products or services? Yes. 12. How did you find this Group? (Google, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves Search, referral from another group or person etc.) I did a yahoo groups search for " erythema nodosum " . Thank you very much for your consideration. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. ~Angel Trott
