They seem to change this routinely though

so always good to double check.

They also seem to change non renal

pediatric case facility restrictions.

At times peds could be anywhere, then

could have eval at non Mayo facility, but had to transplant at Mayo, then all

srvcs required to be at Mayo.

We have had kidneys in past that were told

they had to go to Mayo to be listed, but could get eval anywhere.

Re:

No transplant coverage

This is

great timing...do you have a contact person for the Walmart Blue Cross

transplant benefit and authorization area? A new evaluation referral just

happened to come across my desk today and I have not yet been able to get to a

live human being. Copy of the card says BXBS of Illinois handles the Walmart

group. Thanks!

Good afternoon all, I think we may have had this question before but

here goes: I have a patient with Walmart Blue Cross benefits as

primary; Medicare secondary. He's in the first year with no transplant

benefits. Will Medicare cover with a denial ? I'm not real sure on

this one, has anyone ever transplanted anyone in this first year of

coverage ?

Thanks as always for any info :-)
