Guest guest
My daughter is 7 now and at five she was at the same point your daughter is at. She would sign for a few things, babble but never on command. We actually started the ABA/VB at amost 6 yr.old. and now she can communicate very well she can sigh 135 words, and her sounds dramataly improved .After thousand of " Say BAA " tons of tantruming she gave in. She know saysBa, Ba-Ba, Mmm, Moma, Pa, Ah, Bye, Bye-bye, I, Poo, Baby, Bed,and a few moreon command. And she is surprising me all the time with different words at random. I still at seven have not given up on her speaking but I can 't predict when that will happen I can give her signs that she needs to communicate. She is a effective communicator. The procedure you mentioned is the same one we use, Automatic Reinforcer Procedure. It works it just takes time. We also do echoic drills Daily. She is going to a school that uses the ABBLS as their curriculum. She also gets 20 hours aweek after school of private therapist. And she asks to work she loves it . I may not have answered your questio
