It warms my heart to know we have such great moderators. Thank you Kathy, and Carol for doing a fabulous job of putting up with us (especially me). I also want to say I appreciate the members here. Yes, we get heated sometimes and sometimes we need a break, but all in all I think is a great group. I know I pretend to know it all sometimes, but truth be told, I know very little.

Just so you all know.. the reason this list was started was because , Carol and I wanted to have a place where people could discuss the different sides of all issues without being told to sit down and be quiet if the other people on the list/moderators just didn’t agree with their views. I love to debate, and have even changed my mind on occasion after reading someone else’s viewpoint on something (believe it or not;)

I think that many of us on here are very passionate about certain things..hopefully we can cut each other enough slack to sit back, read comments again to make sure that we really know what the person intended to say instead of just getting offended about what we *think* they are saying..if there is any doubt, ask the person instead of assuming that they meant to be offensive (and I am reminding myself of this first of all, because I sometimes tend to react before I think ;-(

(if it is a moderator who has stepped over the line, you all are very good at letting us know;-) so I appreciate that, too.

And if someone DOES step over the line, I think that we are usually pretty good about apologizing (I speak from personal experience;-), since my mouth/fingers run away from me at times;-/

Bottom line is that we are all adults. , Carol and I try not to step in unless it is absolutely necessary, because we want everyone to feel comfortable posting differing viewpoints. We know we are not perfect , so please bear with us if we don’t step in when you might think we should…most of the time, we do all get along really well, I think.;-)
