Hi~

You can easily start a garden in containers- such as a kiddie pool or buy the

half wine barrels at Menards for 25 bucks apiece. I have an article on starting

gardens in kiddie pools somewhere in my saved mail- if you would like it I can

look for you. Containers are a great option because they are portable, you can

quickly develop amended soil- but they can get dried out quickly so you will

need to water often.

Start with veggies that are easier to grow like carrots, zuchinni, beans and

peas. I also had luck with brocolli, peppers, onions and lettuce. Oh yes, and

tomatoes- which are sort of an art... but fun to grow.

I have never tried corn, but I think that is pretty easy too.  I have found that

watermelon and cantelope are hard to grow.... but that may just be my lack of

skills.

Here is a link on herb gardening that I have bookmarked-

http://www.natural-cures-for.com/lifestyle/grow-an-herb-garden/

Let us know how it goes!
