Guest guest
Hi all, Kenny (2 yrs 9 mos) is obsessed with letters. He knows them all and the sounds most of them make. He destroys his books trying to bend them into the shapes of letters. When he goes outside, he finds sticks and bends them into letters. Should I be trying to break this obsession or optimize it? Should I try teaching him to read? How? I'd love some advice. Thanks, Diane
Guest guest
In our son's case we used his letter obsession to get manding. We put magnetic letters up high on the fridge and he would ask for each one in turn. We used posters of letters and objects beginning with the letter to teach nouns. He will be four in July and he's pretty much grown out of it, he is interested in different things. Sounds like great questions for a behavior therapist and a speech therapist. --- In @y..., " greg_diane_morris " <greg_diane_morris@y...> wrote: > Hi all, > > Kenny (2 yrs 9 mos) is obsessed with letters.
