Guest guest
Hi, I am sorry to disappoint you, but actually the waiting list is probably going to be eliminated because they are planning on eliminating 14,000 CAP/MR/DD slots! Many people who already have these slots are at risk of losing their funding. :-( There is a march planned in early June to protest. Also, please realize that CAP/MR/DD funding will not apply to school programs. You have to battle for that, and speaking as one who had to cry " Uncle " after spending a LOT of money on attorneys, I wouldn't recommend that ANYONE try this route unless you have a lot of money you can afford to lose. (And if you had that much money to begin with, why would you want to put yourself through that?) You CAN use CAP funding if your child is under school age, or if you supplement with hours after school for a child older than 7. (Cary, NC) persistentC@...
