Guest guest
We had the same obsession with letters and numbers. You can use it to teach the concepts of " before " and " after " . We also used toy letters and numbers to teach beginning concepts.( Find " D " it's in the stove). We tried to incorporate letters and numbers into other learning in order to increase motivation. There are cookie cutter molds in the shape of letters that we used to make cookies and play with play dough. While your child is interested, I would teach the letter sounds. I think it's better to catch him while he's motivated, rather than to wait until reading is " developmentally appropriate " .
