Guest guest
I just left a meeting where the school system offered up a " gun for hire " to do a program evaluation, her name is Sue Kabot and she did an LRP conference on helping the school systems avert, avoid and win in Due Process against parents offering a 1:1 home program. I have such an ABA/VBA program in place at home but school refuses to make the two consistent. The only thing that they were willing to do was to offer a program evaluation and evaluation of my 3 1/2 yr. old son. I refused this hired gun/pseudo professional and stated that they must have my consent in writing to go forward with any evaluations. As a part of our latest mediation agreement the S.S. and I were to both suggest people for the eval and I gave them consent for the person that I offered up. They refused and said that my consent was not necessary or wanted for their evaluation. Can they do this without giving me prior written notice of the evaluation and without my consent to have my baby evaluated by these people? Does anyone have any suggestions on where I go from here? Do I go pick him up from preschool right now and never send him again? Help me please. Cyn in TN
