Pathfinders for Autism, Inc. is seeking a short-term, part-time

contractual employee to research and develop an information and

resource database on services for individuals with autism and their

families. The individual hired will work with the Pathfinders for

Autism Resource Center Committee and its partners to develop the

database framework and input data. The position is part-time,

expected to last for approximately 3-4 months, and the individual

hired will be expected to work from their home. Hours are flexible.

Autism Resource Collection Specialist

Pathfinders for Autism, Inc.

Pathfinders for Autism is seeking a short-term, part-time contractual

employee to research and develop an information and resource database

on services for individuals with autism and their families.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The individual in the position is responsible for researching

available resources for individuals with autism and their families,

contacting resource organizations to find out detailed information

about the services offered, and entering information into a

specialized Access database. The individual hired will work with the

Pathfinders for Autism Resource Center Committee and its partners to

develop the database framework and input data. The position is part-

time, expected to last for approximately 3-4 months, and the

individual hired will be expected to work from their home. Hours are

flexible.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Work with the Pathfinders for Autism Resource Center

Committee and its partner, Work and Family Benefits, to develop a

comprehensive resource database to be used as an information and

referral source by the Pathfinders Autism Resource Center.

2. Research available services for children and adults with

autism and their families, including generic services that provide

accommodations for individuals with autism.

3. Using a series of questions developed with the Resource

Center Committee, contact each resource to ascertain the levels and

types of services available.

4. Maintain positive communications with the Pathfinder for

Autism Resource Center Committee.

5. Make decisions concerning the database. Provide timely

informational reports as needed.

Skills and Knowledge:

1. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

2. Familiarity with computer applications.

3. Bachelor's degree or experience preferred.

4. Demonstrated research skills.

5. Demonstrated organizational skills.

6. Knowledgeable about autism and developmental disabilities

preferred.

7. Knowledgeable about land's service delivery system for

individuals with autism.

8. Must be self-directed and able to work independently.

SALARY

This position pays $12/hr. Hours: Negotiable
