Guest guest
How do you decide the optimal mix of school versus home therapy? My son will be 4 in October, and is entering a typical preschool with an aide in September. The question is, should we put him in for 3 days a week or more. He has been receiving DTT for 1 year, and VB for a little over a month, with 5 hours in a preschool disabled program. His verbal skills are exploding, but we still see deficits in social skills and attending. Play and self help are OK (just potty trained :-)). How do I know we can safely take the one-to-one hours down? mkelly@...
Guest guest
My own oppinion is that the best way for a child to improve his social skills is being among 'normal' environment and work on it. May be he should be confused at the begining woth lees structured routines and games...but later he should be in the normal world. Of course, always watching at his needs. Just my cents na
