Registrations are still being accepted for either or both of his workshops... Thursday, Septmeber 12 The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skill (The ABLLS). A workshop for participants interested in using the ABLLS to analyze and track learner skills and develop a comprehensive language-based curriculum for children with autism or other development disabilities. Friday and Saturday, September 13 & 14 Teaching Language to Children with Autism or Other Developmental Disabilities. This workshop provides an overview of B.F. Skinner's analysis of language and reviews the primary types of verbal operants. Participants will learn how to assess a child's language abilities as well as designing and implementing an appropriate language intervention program. There will be a major emphasis on identifying methods to enhance and utilize motivational variables (establishing operations) to teach language in both structured teaching sessions and in daily activities.
