Just to add this to my previous .02 cents on the Bowflex. Unlike most weight machines, the Bowflex requires using those " stabilizer " muscles so it is more like free weights than regular weight machines. Plus there is no risk of dropping a weight on oneself and its much safer if there are children in the house. My 2.5 year old was sitting on her Daddy's back as he did leg curls the other day helping him count! :-) I just love this thing. Sorry if I sound obsessed! :-)

This sounds like a child with ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder). The only person qualified to make this diagnosis is a medical doctor - preferably a neurologist with a background in ADHD, but a pediatrician can also make this diagnosis. Was this child climbing out of the crib at 6 months old? How much does this child sleep? Why are you posting about this child here - this list is generally intended for discussion of children with autism spectrum disorders (there is some discussion among researchers recently that ADHD may be on the spectrum - but I don't think this is generally accepted yet.) If a doctor does make this diagnosis, you will probably want to talk with him/her about trying one of the many medications used to help children focus, such as ritalin, concerta, etc. Also, take a look at this web site: http://www.schwablearning.org/ G'luck, MoSam
Guest guest
Dear Friends, from Long Island, I am a fellow Long Islander that moved to Colorado in 80, had my 2nd bk surgery but then moved to PA as my parents had sold our house in Elmont & moved here to this small town my Dad was born & raised in. I have seen 4 Revision Specalists & have chosen Dr Boachie, even though it is going to take 2 surgeries a few days apart. He will not operate until early Spring as he wanted me to build my cardiovascular system up by swimming, then see me in Jan & set the surgery date. I know exactely what you mean about dreading it but wanting to get it over with.I wish he would have done me this month as you have all winter to recuperate. I am walking bent fwd since the end of 99 & the las yr I went from 10 cm out of plumb to 19........so YES waiting only makes things worse. Please keep us posted & know you will be in my thoughts & prayers. Love, Diane
