Parents facing this question,

Your IEP team needs to think about what next year's priorities are. If

your child functions well in group setting, can learn and demonstrate his

skills in a group the size his class is likely to be--this is a no brainer.

A lot of kids who stated out in 1:1 ABA program are not ready for this by age

6.

My son did not know WHO to pay attention to in the classroom. He'd been

conditioned to attend to and respond to a therapist who was 3-5 feet away.

He paid more attention to his aide than the teacher. When she called on him,

he did not recognize that it was his turn and he should respond. He needed

lots of work to learn these two
