Guest guest
Hi everyone, i am from singapore, a small, but not insignificant country in asia. many insurance companies here (even though some of them are part of the bigger American insurance companies) refuse to insure kids with ASD and other intellectual disabilities. i'm talking about something basic like hospital and accident insurance. apparently many insurance companies' stand is that kids with intellectual disabilities are more likely to hurt themselves and hence present a higher risk. i am sure the American insurance companies do not take the same stand in America. I need more information on this to support my case for healthcare insurance for disabled kids here and your help would be much appreciated. information such as what kinds of insurance one can get for ASD kids here; whether they pay higher premiums than NT kids; whether they have any special exclusion clauses, or special clauses inserted, etc. would be very helpful. thank you. mom to justin
