It's time to get back to life, to living. Right now, I'm both pissed off

and feeling very good. How do you do that? You begin to understand that

being pissed off is a good thing...whatever you feel, you convert it to

a tool. You can use wherever you are, whatever it is, as something to

defeat you or something to fuel and empower you.

I remember the days when we use to all get together for family reunions.

I think the biggest one we ever had was around several hundred people,

and had to hold most of them a parks, because there just wasn't enough

room at any of the homes. People traveled from all over to get there and

be as one, again. The very last one I just happened to be in town for

had maybe 20 people.

While doing cable contracting in Birmingham for a few years, I noticed

all the beautiful homes in the city. On one side you had all the older

homes from the 20's, even older than that. And while there were many

good people there, with families and a better way of life, I saw just as

many people and families on the other side of town. Maybe more so. They

lived in the same kinds of homes, yet, because of situations, most of

the houses were in fair to bad shape. Many beautiful homes were falling

down because of no attention. Living day to day took any resources.

But I noticed something even more than homes, and it was the

neighborhoods. People there were families. You could see and feel times

gone by, when the kids all played in the streets and yards. When the

kids could go to anyone else's house and it was ok, there was little to

worry about. An adult was always watchful. When kids were more

respectful, and if there was one who forgot, it was ok for another adult

to play parent and correct the situation...every parent was a parent to

all the other kids.

Doors were never locked, and no one ever knocked. Everyone looked out

for each other...and help was already there before it was needed. We

spent the night at each others homes, and we all were fed.

As time went on, the world tempted us into leaving for the bigger and

better things. Big properties were sold off leaving nothing for the

kids...a newer car, a bigger house, a satellite dish.

We were scattered across the nation, across the world. We got busy, no

time for our families, no time for old friends. Pretty soon, we were

finding we had no time for our selves either.

We have to get back to a time of " intentional community " . The Indians

knew about it, even our older generations knew about it. The hippies

tried to remind us of it.

If there was a model to restore a world it would be to set up

intentional communities across the planet. Forget about who says

what...those talking about what can't be done are the same ones who

created what is. And what is, isn't working.

There are thousands of intentional communities now in operation, and

many more being set up. They all have different modes of operation and

thinking, just the way it should be. All are trying to be self

sustaining and self sufficient. All operate from a standard that works

for them.

These should be highlighted and promoted for their work and insights.

They all are willing to share what they have learned and are learning.

These should begin and increase trading among themselves. They don't

have to adapt to the others ways, only share in what is common among

them. I'd love to see the Indians come together on this and set up their

communities across this nation, into their own historical enclaves,

practicing the things that made them great before.

Forget the cities, they can one day be converted to some good use, but

they aren't really the places to sustain life. They are the corporate

backbone that says to " get " anything, you must " give " everything to

them.

Right now, there are literally hundreds of ways to power your home, for

free...with various devices that have been created, and you'd never need

the power company again. Now imagine if someone just started installing

these things in every home everywhere. Some of these even produce clean

fuels as a by product...imagine that...free energy and fuel. I see lots

of happy people, and you say, we see lots of toes stepped

on....hehe...yeah buddy.

We complain about millions of diseases and ailments, yet, having your

own nature food sources would make most of those history. Is there some

question about when you put oil by products in your feed, soil, seed,

food, and medicines, that your not going to get sick? I mean

really....think for a minute.

How in the world do you even put a world back together when separation

is the mode of operation? To understand something, take it completely a

part, then put it back together. I can take things a part and when I put

them back together, I end up leaving out half the parts...imagine a

motor that runs better after this? It works for everything.

We talk about becoming one and being as one, yet, on the material plane,

we are going to have to undo what is being done before we can do it

right. It takes becoming an intentional community again, in becoming

families again. Each will be different and should be supported for that,

mainly by not interfering. Once we are self sustaining, we begin to help

others be that too, and while we may be different in the things we do,

or paths we follow...there will be common ground we meet on. From this

point, we can work towards being as one.

This is why little is being done now. Everyone is scattered to the

winds. There is no self sustained ground to work from. By combining

resources and ideas that are of like mind, we begin to work together

towards those things we hold closest to us.

Too many of us are just holding on now. The bills come in, we rent homes

we hate, or find ourselves making payments on places that will never be

ours, yet they are sapping our energies. We work jobs we find are

killing us and paying us with slaps in the face. We find ourselves

bitching about gas and food prices, and look forward to the weekends to

be different, only to see that we spaced out till Monday came again,

hating ourselves because we didn't do that family thing, didn't get a

handle on the mess, didn't come up with a new answer.

Now, what if you took all that and threw it out the window. Gave up that

house your not even happy with, dropped those bills that represent your

lack of energy and control of your own lives? What if you just gathered

it all up and found a number of others, just like you and made a

decision to make a change...one that would matter? What if you decided

on a community where you could get back to family, back to doing

something you loved, back to living? What if it meant being self

sustaining again, in being empowered. Actually having fun while doing

your little part, that everyone shared in, leaving a lot of time to

enjoy the living part.

Can you imagine such a thing or is your first thought being one of tired

all of a sudden because that would require making a decision? Of

deciding right here and now to make the leap to what isn't in your

comfort zone. One that requires a leap of real faith to change your life

for real.

I'm not offering you the Garden of Eden, although I've got my own ideas

about that. What I am trying to do is get you to think in a bigger way.

This is not to take the place of using love, and healing and operating

from spiritual levels, which is even bigger and supersedes all of this,

but, in a sense, it is a way of seeing how things need to come together

and work in the human arena.

Just like all of our resources come together in times of prayer and love

and healing, so to does the need to come together with our presence,

resources, ideas, and involvement in day to day living.

I don't know about you but I'd take an intentional community of loving

wonderful beings any day over a falling down grand old home where none

of those live anymore.

"I don't know about you but I'd take an intentional community of loving

I mourn that I can't trust my neighbors (and they can't trust me), and have often gone back and forth on the idea of whether or not I want to bring children into such a world. I have strong feelings about the job world we "live" in (ambition, money, more stuff), and have often looked for solutions to take my own life back, and have the ability to give so much more to others.
