Guest guest
Does anyone out there get insurance coverage for any/partial ABA treatment? I have been trying to obtain through Aetna, but was denied. I know Aetna pays for Microsoft employees, but their plan is self-funded, bla, bla, bla. Anyone out there who has coverage, I would like to talk to you. Contact me at the web address below. Thank you in advance. Sincerely, Tracey Edmond, OK www.paul8561@... Guest guest
I know our insurance doesn't cover ABA therapy, and I have heard from a lot of other parent's that their insurance doesn't cover it either. ABA Insurance Coverage Hello everyone,I have a question regarding insurance....A parent contacted me for private ABA services, and wants to pay me using insurance. Has anyone had success paying their ABA therapists using insurance? Does insurance even cover ABA? Thanks, everyone.Tameika in GA
Guest guest
Hey Tamieka, The only way I have found that works (although no one I know now has been successful getting insurance to cover it) is to have the insurance companies reimburse the family for out of pocket cost. That way there aren't any gaps in services while you're waiting to get paid. The one family I knew that was successful in getting money from insurance had to do it this way because the insurance company would only send out money every 3-4 months, and I don't know any therapists who can go that long with out being paid. I know I couldn't. (BTW, they were only successful after several lawsuits, and threats of more. So I don't know how much money they actually spent before getting that reimbursement money) Amnesty > > Hello everyone, > I have a question regarding insurance....A parent contacted me for > private ABA services, and wants to pay me using insurance. Guest guest
Our company has been able to get "ad hoc agreements" to reimburse for services. I am happy to talk with you about this. We bill the insurance directly for families. -----Original Message-----From: Amnesty [mailto:amnestyb@...]Sent: Wednesday, October 20, 2004 9:34 PMautism Subject: Re: ABA Insurance CoverageHey Tamieka,The only way I have found that works (although no one I know now has been successful getting insurance to cover it) is to have the insurance companies reimburse the family for out of pocket cost. Guest guest
I would like more info on how you did this? What exactly does an ad hoc agreement involve? You can email me privately.
