Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a good social skills curriculum. I have students

with a wide range of social skills. Also, does anyone have any

suggestions for enhancing a child's social awareness.

well...I know this is more of a behavior therapy type board, but since

you asked, many parents are reporting seeing much better social skills

in their kids when they are placed on digestive enzymes to help break

down the casein and gluten... and now, new enzyme to help break down the

phenols too (foods high in phenols include bananas, apples, tomatoes,

raisins/grapes, chocolate)...For those who are interested, go to parent

discussion group called .

I just started my own son on enzymes a few weeks ago and eye contact is

definitely much much better...as is his entire disposition. He

acknowledges people a lot more than he did just 3 weeks ago too. Most

kids go through a little bit of a rough time once first placed on

enzymes because of withdrawal symptoms associated with casein/gluten,

but, within a couple of weeks, that pretty well goes away and many kids

seem to do very very well on these things....the enzymes are

non-prescription for those of you who are interested. If you go this

route, I encourage you to join the enzyme board too...they discuss a lot

of things... including need to reduce vitamins once on enzymes since

child absorbed them more through foods...and so, too many vitamins can

cause hyperactivity....anyway, if interested in this, definitely join

the enzyme board too.
