Hi

My son is 4 years old, non verbal autistic kid. He has absolutely no

words. I have been trying to Toilet train him for some time now and

has been successful to the extent that he is able to urinate sitting

on the potty. The main problem I am facing is that he is not able to

communicate when he needs to go to the restroom. For now I am taking

him at regular intervals with some accidents.

It would be of utmost help to me to receive suggestions or methods

adopted for a child in a similar situation. U can mail me directly to

the email address given below.

Thanks

Chandrika.

Hi Chandrika, Would most appreciate if you could please forward the

responses you received to this question to me at plawler99@.... My

son is now 7 yo (non-verbal too)and we are at our wit's ends to teach him to

initiate. He is happy to be led to the toilet and will perform whether BMs

or urine but just won't initiate in anyway.

Many thanks

Padma
