Guest guest
" ... I know he can do sorting, and matching of 3 ofjects and some sequencing with games , but I need help in knowing what to do next... " Dear Becky, have you completed the ABLLS yet? if not i would use that as a guide as to what to teach next. many books that attempt to sequence skills developmentally do not take into consideration children who are not the " norm. " i highly suggest that you utilize a criterion-reference assessment such as the ABLLS since it also provides you with skills that are very close to a typical developmental pattern of language, social, academic... skills. based on your post, i am assuming that you are following a more " traditional " approach of ABA. you may want to consider reading Sundberg & Partington's book, " Teaching Language to Children with Autism or other Developmental Disabilities. " with this book and the ABLLS, you will have a good idea of how to progress. Selma ez, M.S.Ed. ABA/VB Consultant Chicagoland, USA
