Guest guest
Sam's language is at the point of being able to name all colors, shapes and probably more than a thousand nouns, plus verbs, some adjectives and adverbs. However, his conversation skills are not very good. He can complete maybe 5 circles of communication, in a very stilted way. My question (finally) is, he can name his colors, but when shown a shape and asked it's color, he gives me the shape name. I thought, well maybe he's just not fluent enough with the colors, so I did a trial with him and gave him 6 colors in a row (green, blue, red, black, etc) and then pointed to his yellow cup and said 'What color?'. He answered correctly 'Yellow'. But then I asked him 'What is it?' and he said 'Yellow'. What is going on? And how do I address it?
