paying attention form a distance

Hi everybody,

I was wondering if you could help me again. My little boy (3 years ) is really

progressing nicely but I have hit a major hurdle, I just cant get him to pay

attention from a distance or use names.

If he is two feet away and I call his name, he simply ignores me, until I get at

least a foot away. He, otherwise, he will pays attention to anything you say if

you close enough and understands almost everything. He asks for everything he

want and will tell you if he does not want something, he also will come and tell

you what he is doing. But he will not refer to you by name and when he shows you

what he is doing he will make sure he is in your face.

Please help if you can. I would also like to thank you all for your help now and

in the past.
